Finally got the Q today shipped to my house. I'm coming from the 9930. Need to get used to it. U guys prefer the Q10 keyboard? Ive only had it for a few hours. right now I find the 9930 edging it out. But hope that will change as I get used to my new Q10! Did u have a bit of a transitional period? Thoughts? Thank you! Over all phone is way more awesome than the 9930! Don't get me wrong there...

you'll adjust just fine. i thought i liked the 9900 a lot more but after a week or two, q10 becomes the new bb gold standard.

I was the same- I liked my 9300 keyboard and had to adjust- too me a week and I actually prefer this one now.

Before the Q10 came out I thought I wouldn't like a straight keyboard. Now though I prefer it over my 9900 and find the straight keyboard easier to type on with one hand for the rare occasions when I need to.

The overall size for me is better than the 9900's keyboard too.

I had a 9900 & 9810, then got a Z10, then got a Q10, so I didn't make the leap from 99xx to Q10 directly, and after being on the Z10, I was just thrilled to be on a real keyboard again.

I've found that I do like the straight across keyboard of the Q10, and can type just as quickly or even faster than I did on my 9900. I wasn't sold on the straight across style keyboard when I first saw it, since it's a departure from all the other fretted keyboards. But I think it has definitely made typing even better, and the keys are noticeably larger for me.

I sometimes compare my Q10 and my friend's 9930, and it's just such a huge step forward, but the 99xx will always have a spot in my heart.

There is a lot more to get used to then just the slight different keyboard. I found turning on predictive text is cool. I use it a fair bit. Getting used to swiping some screens and having to back out of some and then others need a cancel button at the top is most annoying for me. 9900 back button was consistent

    I don't even notice.
I haven't gone back to my 9900 to see, but I think you just get used to it after a short while.

What I'll say is that I greatly prefer it to Swiftkey on my Nexus 4.

The shift from a 9300 is small potatoes compared to going to a virtual keyboard.

It's a more solid keyboard for me. Much better than the 9930 for me.
