I like Kijiji a lot but you always have to follow some guidelines when seeing stuff like this. Personally, I never purchase from someone using press images or images from a website, that's warning #1. Secondly, the device isn't even out yet and this person is supposedly in possession of one? Warning #2.

Never ever send money to these people, like never! Always meet in person to complete the transaction. If the person isn't within reasonable distance to meet up, I wouldn't bother with it. If they are within distance and they make excuses to meet up, it's shady. Move on to someone else.

The question is how this person could already have a sale-ready, factory unlocked device in hand?

I agree with the consensus of opinion. I attempted to purchase a Z10 from England. It turns out the seller had hacked into someone's Ebay account and set up customers to contact him once the auction was over; paying with Western Union. Don't get taken. I had to have it and ignored all warnings to the tune of loosing $810 dollars. Recently I bought an unlocked, unbranded phone from tekshop.ca for $699 plus $27 dollars shipping. I had it the next day!

Wait and buy from a reputable business. Good luck.
PS. I love my new Z10.
