So we recently managed to get a black q10 (Verizon) in stock at my store! Naturally, I decided to play around with it to see how much different it would look than my white q10 (also Verizon). The black felt heavier, the screen(while off, I don't turn on inventory) flowed across the face of the device better, and the back of the device felt fantastic compared to the slippery, ill-fitting back of the white.

The biggest difference is the keyboard, I think. The keys on the black q10 seem so much more responsive and springy compared to the slightly tough keyboard on the white q10. The black keys also felt slightly lighter making them easier to press, thinner, and they even seemed very minutely spaced further apart. My fingers start to hurt after using my white q10 for too long but it felt like I could go all day on the black keyboard.. The black q10 body felt so much better in quality, too.

Has anyone else had the chance to compare the two keyboards? Or am I just losing my mind? The color of the device shouldn't matter in terms of device quality, right?

I have played with a couple of white q10's and while I did not notice keyboard differences there was no doubt that the back of the black and the overall feel of the black was of a higher quality that the feel of the white. YMMV.

I think my wife's white q10 has clicky hard to press keys. I explain that this way. I use my phone way more than she does.

Can't say that i notice any difference in the keyboards.

They feel the same to me.

The feel of the phone itself however is night and day. With the black one feeling much nice.

Or maybe it's possible that not all white q10s have the same keyboard....

Just realized you might be right, but it has to do with the date the phone was made.

    Newer phones have harder keyboards.
