    hey well my whatsapp works fine when it wants to i have been forever not getting any alerts to let me know i have a new message, (unless i restart phone|) then and only then does it work but again only for a few mins then stop is there a fix? is anyone else having this problem?. thanks

    Try deleting the app and reinstall it. Hopefully, that should fix the problem

    I'm starting to think that its the app, all my alerts are on, everything else is working fine, I've unintended it twice now and it will work some a very short time and then stop, I hope they fix it soon

    The current version (2.11.1) does now have autodownload settings.
    - Swipe down from above the top of the screen
    - Tap the "Settings" icon
    - Tap on "Media Settings"
    - Scroll down, and there it is.
