This seems odd. The time you would want hands-free and not have to read the screen is when in the car and yet voice control 'hears' and writes text but doesnt' 'speak'. Is this right?

Often the Phone connects also with A2DP for musicstreaming to the radio . The phone tries to send the sound to the radio, if you listen to the radio/CD/MP3 you can't hear anything from the phone. Try to disconnect the A2DP Audiostreaming in your Radio, you should hear the Voice Control now.
