OK, OK, I know people with big thumbs are abnormal, but why is the editing ring annoyingly small in the email app, but larger and much easier to use in messaging and here on CB forums?

Why?

Who decided to have different sizes for different apps? Why is the smaller and less useable ring in the application where it will be most used by business users.

I guess my only hope is that the 'Ring designer' accidentally hits his or her thumb with a hammer in the next few weeks and realises their mistake (that is if they actually use a BlackBerry).

Another irritation: why can I only squeeze two lines of text in the text app before it starts to scroll? This is pathetic. Trying to scroll in such a small area is a real pain. Who designs this stuff, a watch maker from Switzerland?

I picked up a trick with the ring and now I hardly care where it lands at the beginning.

Once you click the text twice and get the ring to appear, if it is off the mark, you can just tap the ring in the direction you want the cursor to move. Tap the left side of the ring to move back a letter, the top of the ring to move up a line, etc.

Once I found that trick, my text editing is now almost as quick as it was with the trackpad.
