Hi all, i just decided to check if there was a software update for my Verizon q10. It said there was a 2mb download available. I downloaded it and my software is version 10.1.0.2011. Is this the latest official date and if so, what changes were made?

Mostly refinements and bug fixes. You should be able to run more apps.

Thanks, but i am confused by "run more apps"? What do you mean by this? Are there apps in BB World that wont run on the Q10?

yes, mostly for legacy OS, but when you search AW from your device should only show whats available. If you scan a bar code and it won't run on your device it will display "not available on your device". As far as the update probably Z10 to Q10 compatability, not sure though.

The update probably read: Application update, not OS update.

The 2mb update does not have anything to do with the software, it is the same OS you are running. The reason why you were prompted for the update is because you must have deleted some of the pre installed applications, when you do, an update will appear, that will ask you to re install those apps that you deleted. That's all. No update lol

I get the same thing but it doesn't ask me to reinstall any apps. It just continuously says I have a 2mb update.

You get a system notification every time there is an update available to your OS or any app.
