The other day I contacted Verizon regarding the launch of the new BB's on January 30th and asked about compatibility with Verizon's 4G LTE network. Here is what Verizon answered. Sounds like she is hinting that the new BB 10's will be 4G LTE! What are your thoughts on BB's with LTE speeds?

Well I tried to research on what type of antenna the new BB's would have and came up with nothing. And many of the BB users love the battery life on their devices, and many were hoping that RIM would keep it 3G

I can't find the article where the CEO says he regrets not already having LTE BBs out, so you get a pass.

IMO I think that was one of the biggest mistakes RIM made - at least from a consumer point of view. Like most people, I thought I had to have 4G on Verizon, thought I was missing something. Really didn't need it and I wasn't missing much - at least for my use.

Didn't Verizon say all future phones will be LTE only a while back. I just want to know the off contract price since I'm not giving up my unlimited data plan....

Now the question becomes "Does BB10 still compress data?"

With all the 4G usage caps, it would be great to know that is still being used.

yes to both having 4G (RIM has made this clear from the beginning), and BB10 compressing data, though it will not compress nearly as much as it did before.

As always, your answers are much appreciated. I was talking to my brother the other day, and he was saying that he can't view a Youtube Video because AT&T has a 2GB cap on his iphone.

Having a compression is an awesome perk.
