On BlackBerry Q10 the message flag changes from UNREAD to READ. I'm accessing my email on Q10 via IMAP and on my 3 computers I use Outlook via POP3.

My Outlook client is always downloading emails from my mail server. Why the downloading to Outlook changes the message flags from UNREAD to READ?

Is this an impossible task for the OS 10 keep properly track of the READ / UNREAD flags when email is accessed both by IMAP and POP3 to the same mail server? Anybody knows how to fix it?

Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Never had any problems with this, maybe your outlook marks your mails as "read"?

Or your wife reads your emails? ;-) (sorry for this)

With one source accessing as IMAP, the other as PO, I would expect the read/unread (as well as flags) to be out of whack.
Since both Outlook desktop client and your Q10 support IMAP, I'd strongly suggest setting them both up that way.

I have the same issue but with my text messages. As soon as I get a text message and open message app, the message becomes read
