Has anyone tried working as a Uber / Lyft driver using their BlackBerry Z10 / Q10? I'd like to try it but wouldn't want to get lost or have it not work on me while I'm working/driving. Any advice?

If you genuinely need to rely on it for work, just buy a cheap Android device and use that.

I believe it is required for you to have an iPhone or Android phone. At least it is for Lyft.

Use Uber via the browser. Works fine.

As a driver? Are you sure?

Just thought I'd share. Not sure if they write this to just anyone who is inquiring regarding BlackBerry but hopefully this is a step in the right direction.

M.uber.com works from the blackberry browser if you enable it on your account. I have not been able to get the Uber app or Lyft to work.

I've tried the m.uber site and it gives me a network error. Is there a certain setting I need to toggle on my browser to make it work, i.e. on the privacy or security setting? I have allowed it on the site permissions option.

I also get the network error (mobile site or app).

I believe that you need to request from Uber to allow the mobile site to work. I think I read that somewhere.

Also I recall there was a blog done on BlackBerry Insider Blog about how to get it done.

If you do a quick google, should be able to find it.

    Good luck!

Sending Uber an email worked -- they can unlock access to mobile site by request.

There an Uber app in BlackBerry World called "Ubr". It works fine.

Judging from the reviewers, the app is just a container around the mobile Uber site.
