    If you use silent often, dragging down quick settings and touching the notifications icon will work. (it toggles between current and previous setting). I find it pretty quick and easy.

    Use the volume down on the right side of the device.

    It will end up @ your last setting when you hit bottom. (silent or vibrate -depending on your last menu setting)
