Is there a private browsing option on the Q10 browser? E.g. saves no history, cookies, etc. Like for browsing pornography, affair sites, and all the other stuff you don't want people close to you to ever find.

There is. Open your browser and choose Settings. Choose Privacy & Security. Switch Private Browsing to ON.

It will remain in private browsing ONLY for that browsing session. Once you close browser, it reverts back to normal browsing.

REMEMBER: clear your remembered words. If you look at a particular site or enter specific terms that would identify what you've been looking at previously.

Sorry, hit post before I finished my thought. The remember words feature will bring it up again in the predicted words.

Jesus so words like "Life is short, have an affair" will be coming up on my Q10?

I don't believe it would pull up an entire phrase. But let's say you have a particular fetish and search for that. Word predict will begin pulling up that term.

I just tested it out: in private browsing, I entered in the website that phrase about the affair is from.

I then went into regular browsing mode and as soon as I entered Ash, the word predict pulled up the rest of the address.

This despite the fact I viewed it in private browsing.

It's a serious flaw for anyone who doesn't want other eyes to see what they've been viewing.

Would it pull up non-dictionary words like face****?

Between that and the universal search issue, it seems like there's no such thing as privacy on these devices. Really disappointed in BlackBerry lately.

Actually... I was wrong. It does pull up that entire phrase if you actually input it in the search bar.

Wanted, it does if you enter it in. I did it in private again. Closed broswer and tried in normal browsing. I began typing FACE... and it auto predicted facebook, but once I entered the next f to make it "facef", the rest of the term came up in predicted words.

Right thankyou. I hope none of you guys end up getting into **** with your wifes for searching these things LOL.

There is a way to clear the predicted text though? But... I am assuming you can't specifically delete the terms you want to, and so it is inconvenient to have to do this every time you search something naughty.

Is there an update for this in 10.2? At least the phone can be passworded though.

Lol, I have this thread to prove to the Mrs. that I was just helping a friend. ;o)

Go to your main Settings; select Language and Input; then pick Predictions and Corrections; choose Clear Learned Words.

It's a pain, but certainly better than someone finding stuff that were meant for your eyes only.

Look into BES & BlackBerry Balance too. That'd be ideal for the prolific cheater.

Just checked. Universal check didn't saved the words and results. I'm at 10.1.0.2309. Hell this spell checker remembered my firmware I posted yesterday! Cool!

butting in here, but i've noticed the predictive text will take phrases from emails and suggest them in texts. It's kind of useful, but again I wouldn't want "affair" appearing after "have" too often. Too often.
