I have had the Q10 now for a few months, and I have noticed that when visiting news sites with articles and video on top of the page, the videos full screen and play automatically. It is really annoying, since now I can't browse anything in a public setting for fear that some loud video is going to start up on its own.

My old BB's had a Browser Configuration setting that you could uncheck to support embedded media, but I can't seem to find it on the Q10. I have also noticed that since getting the Q10, my data usage has literally skyrocketed, so I am hoping to turn off the video playing to reduce that as well. I had to move up a tier in my Verizon plan to accommodate the new phone, and I have been using the same amount of email, browsing, etc. that I did with my old BB.

I have the same problem, I haven't found any way to prevent it.
But you can turn the volume down to prevent the video from playing sound at least.

I agree. This is annoying. Hope it gets ameliorated in the near-future.

Maybe not ideal, but disabling Flash would probably do the trick.

I wish it would be that easy! Disabling Flash does not prevent the browser to play the vids

No solution a year after this thread was started? I am about to throw my phone against the wall.... it's absolute bull**** that this is happening. It?s MLB.com, not some **** site... and I can't browse it?

I agree this is terrible. I simply cannot read some articles because the video takes over.

I don't have problems with mlb.com. Vine is a problem. Recomend you download whine from BlackBerry world for that. Or try the android port.

The work around is pause the video and swipe down from the top. Then continue reading article. I am hoping for a fix in 10.3.
