I was just messing with my Q and I found that they could have maybe made the icons smaller so then you could see some of the background and be a little more visually pleasing

Yeah and I don't think there's a need to cram more icons in (though you could add another row if there that small). maybe make a option like BlackBerry used to have with Os 7 where you could pick how many icon rows you wanted
