    What about them?
Whatever, avoid them. They break trays and readers.

Anyone have expirience using a sim card adapter in the Q10? I have a passport and want to switch between it and the Q10 but have heard horror stories about adapters.

Don't use an adapter. The horror stories are true. I ruined my bold pins using an adapter. Better to go to your carrier and buy a sim card for $10

I ruined my q10 and z10 because of adapters but there is no problem using one in the z30 because it's not slide in I don't have a passport so I don't know if it's a problem there

Specifically, what brand adapters were being used? I understand the aversion to them but are there any that are better than others?

You can use a nano SIM in the Q10. I use one all the time. There's no need for an adapter.

Just align the card properly over the pins, and you'll have no problems at all.

Honestly, the only SIM card I have is a nano-SIM, and I use it in the Q10 with no issues. I also use it in the Bold 9900, and it works.

My Q10 uses a micro sim, when I got my passport I went to my carrier and got a nano for it. Now I want to be able to switch in between devices, sounds like the adapter is not a good idea.

I've been using a sim adapter for the last 2 years without any problems?

I bought then off of Amazon and have used my same nano sim in at least 5 different phones.

The adapter I use is actually pretty nice and the nano spot is actually cut out of the micro adapter? Can't remember the name....

The reason I like adapters is because I switch phones so much lol.

Yep, I figured that out. I also switch between a Lumia 1520 (nano-SIM), Q10 (micro-SIM) and 9900 (mini-SIM) all the time. I don't use an adapter. I just use the nano-SIM and place it properly over the pins. It works properly, even when I jog or run it will not move.

I used a SIM adapter once, and it worked well most of the time. Then it stuck in my Galaxy SIII and snapped a pin. Luckily, the SIM tray was easily replaceable in the SGSIII. I'll never use an adapter again.

Some phones use a SIM 'drawer'. You'll have to use a SIM adapter for those.

Never use the adapter, I tried switching over from iphone 5 to the Q10 using the adapter, I damaged the sim tray of the Q10, till date its damaged.
It's better to use the nano sim directly, it works well if u place it properly.
