It's not due here till about friday or saturday So will find out then if I've wasted my money or weather it was a risk worth taking!

If the new battery doesn't do anything and it still doesn't turn on, is there anything else I could try? Or is there anywhere in the UK I can take it to get it checked?

Well, you can remove and sell the keyboard to one of the people experiencing double type; the back cover to someone who lost theirs; the charger to someone who needs one and two spare batteries for sale!

Looks like I'm all outta luck! Got the phone early and it's dead... Going to have to see if I can find anywhere which will look at it cheap and see if it can still be repaired, if not ill sell it as spares

I'll keep you up to date on weather I can get it repaired, ill keep the price a secret for now

Not sure weather to take it to carphone warehouse and let their 'geek squad' look at it, or weather to send it off to somewhere I found online which has some amazing reviews and feedback, and pay them 25 pound to do a Diagnostic service and possibly repair it? Hmmmm!

Thinking of re-selling it for parts and then trying my luck with another second hand WORKING one!

Just for the phone diagnostics its 24.99, and if they dont find anything that is not re-funded. Then if they find something and try to repair it that will cost, although the 24.99 you payed for Diagnostics will go towards it. Then I would probably want new housing as its got a few marks and that on it and a new screen... I dont think its worth it, would have been if it did work in the first place!

Although it wasnt working, got to feel it and use the keyboard and i have to say it felt amazing! So now i want one instead of my plastic Q5 haha!

Still deciding for now on what to do, think ill just try find another second hand one but one thats in next to perfect condition!

Well you may have 2 good batteries and a keyboard that may work if you the one you get enjoys double typing on you like mine does. I still really like the phone and am mostly happy till it double types then I want to smash it. It is the definition of love hate relationship.

Yeah, does this 'double typing' Issue happen on more Q10's than not? Not really looked into it much as my Q5 has been fine!

Pretty hard to ever find out how many really get affected. We tend to complain when they do but not every bb q10 owner will be on crackberry.

If I were you I would just do some experiments on it since you have already spent the money on it.

Take everything apart, clean everything, let all the parts dry for a day or two and put it back together.

Think I'd rather just sell it to be honest, rather than just breaking it even more and then it being worthless!

Not sure where to take it though, Ebay take away so much when selling and paypal do too! So don't know if it would just be best to take it somewhere like CEX or something, they buy non working phones.

I know, and I learned the hard way haha! Might take it apart to have a look but I'm not sure if CEX will take it if the warranty is voided? Does anyone know?

I emailed them and if they say that they do still take them, ill take it apart and see if I can repair myself, if not then it's being sold, and ill sell one of my old curves while I'm at it

I'll give an update on when I get the email and when and if I take it apart I manage to fix it! I have my doubts though haha
