Hello everyone,

I just bought a Q10 a couple of days ago, and I have updated it to 10.3.1.1779 (newest version, right?). However, I don't know it's about the Rom or my Q10 itself but the experience is not as good as I expected.

First, my Q10 is truly hot (literally). After I use it for awhile, it's kinda warm, but if I turn wifi on, it's really hot. It's even more terrible if I use Skype (I download its free version from Blackberry World).

Second, battery drains out quickly. I made a small test last night: charge Q10 to 100% and turn off wifi, bluetooth, NFC, location services,...then I went to bed at 1:30 a.m. I woke up at 5:30 a.m and battery was only 88% left

Please help me know that is there any way to improve these situations? and is Rom 10.3.1.1779 the main reason?

1. The latest oficial OS for all BlackBerry 10 devices is 10.3.1.2744 just search for it in the forums and you will be able to download it and install it.

2. It is normal for a new installed OS to take its time to settle down. You will experience the first days some battery drain but it will get better unless there are some app causing the battery drain.

Link below is the latest OS for your device.

Remember using autoloader will wipe all the information and installed app from your device.

Download the os with your desktop. Connect your device to your desktop and run the autoloader (link must be closed) don't disconnect your device until the process has finished. It will take max 10 minutes. Use a previous made backup to restore your information ore my personal advice star from scratch all the settings and setup.

Do you happen to know what Country/Carrier codes offer 10.3.1.2744 for the Q10 on SACHESI? I have been able to find 10.3.1.2708 on 302/220 (Canada Telus), but nothing higher than that.

The only problem I had with 10.3.1.2576 (10.3.1.1779) was the low notification sound. I thought 2708 would fix it, but it didn't. I am now hoping 2744 does.

Absolutely.

The OS is identical, and you will get the latest Q radio too.

So guys I'm on 10.3.1.1779 and has become my worst os on my Z10. My phone freezes for some time when I open inst10 for example and everything stops so frustrating. Should I wait for 10.3.2 to became available via ota or an autoloader is the best? I feel I need to start fresh to clean everything. A security wipe is the same or a reload of os via link?? I'm new in this things. Thanks in advance

Wipe = autoloader = link restore. Autoloader is by far the fastest of the three.

And if you have that many issues, it's the right thing to do (restoring backups isn't recommended unless you know exactly what was causing the issue and leave that out of the restore).

Reload os via link it's the same of restore? Sorry for possible dumb questions...
If I receive 10.3.2 and do a reset to factory settings after via link what os I will be? The original that came when I bought it?

What happens to my Z10 from the moment I use an autoloader?

A security only cleans up the data, you always have the OS you had installed.

A Link OS restore downloads whatever OS Link finds and installs it.

You will never have the OS you originally had u bless you downgrade to it.

If you load up 10.3.2, you can never downgrade to 10.3.1 or lower.

All mentioned methods wipe the decide - user data and apps are gone, factory settings are applied.
