    Hi all,

I've been away from BB for quite sometime. My last one was a 9320, 8520, 9300 (I keep forgetting how many i've had) with a Torch (jesus wept) before that (I even had a Playbook, that's how BB hardcore I was! /s). Since leaving BB i've gone to a Mozart (WP), a Moto G and an iPhone 4S. My general reaction after using the non BB OS's, left me thinking, this isn't for me.

I had a sudden realisation that with all these fandangled touchscreens out there, I miss my physical keyboards ("i msg n email alt 2 frndz"). So I just purchased a Q10 (it will be here on Wednesday).

Yey new phone, woo! But another new OS to get to grips with.

My question is really, is it as simple to use as it looks? Intuitive? I now notice that you can load Android APKs (some not all I believe), can this be done OTA or will I need a PC (To be fair I can probably find out this last bit myself!).

Thanks and I look forward to showing off my swanky new Q10 when it arrives!

You just need to install either Snap which can be found here or install the APK for Amazon appstore from their website and you're off and running.

Once you install the 10.2.1 update you can install apk files OTA, before that you have the option for OTA through a VPN like sideswype.me

Android compatibility really shines in 10.3 though.

Actually, I prefer 1mobile's app. Either way, installing Android apps is generally as easy as going to Amazon.com or 1mobile.com on your BB browser and downloading the app, you will be prompted to change your setting to allow apps from outside BB, then install and browse either store and download apps. Most all will work at this point.

Welcome back and enjoy ur device. U will love the Hub. Check out StoryMaker app too. The 10.3.0.1154 OS makes the BB10 experience even better. Android apps run smoothly on it. The camera updates on 10.3 is very nice too. You can take photos while video recording. Equalizer is back on the music app.

I took a break from BlackBerry for about two years. Even though I had my 9930, my daily driver was my MotoX/Samsung S3. About a week ago, I upgraded to the Q10 and I would have to say that I am truly impress. First of all, it is a very attractive device. Second, BB10 is fluid no lag or freezing when launching applications. Third, the battery life on the Q10 has been fantastic. I took it off the charger at 6:30am and now it is 10pm and I am still at 45%.

Welcome back and enjoy your new BB!

U did a right choice. I love my Q10. The OS is very smooth. I did have reboot problem sometimes but that is a small issue for me Becoz it happened when I use other charger with small voltage. Now seems tobe ok. I m fr Malaysia. 2B040D76 this is my PIN.

My favorite thing about the Q10, not enough people talk about, is type and go.

For example, if your looking for a contact, just start typing the first name. If your looking for an app just start typing the app name, your looking for a file, just start typing the file name. You want to send an email, text, bbm, just type send.

If productivity is what your looking for, BlackBerry is a good choice.

I think this was one of the main reasons why I love this form. And the shortcuts for wen browsing, space bar, T, B, P. Love them! Size is great and the feel of the keyboard is so satisfying.

Welcome back! The Q10 is one BlackBerry device I just can't seem to get rid of, and I've even had the Z30. Just has that "true" BlackBerry to it.

Download amazon app store to download the android apps you want. You'll get used to the OS over the course of a couple of hours. It's pretty neat. Not as boring as the flick and scroll of the android and iphone OS's
