Really, who cares? With mirrorless SLRs and M43 tech on the up-and-up and implenting WiFi Direct / social media functionality, cell phone cameras are becoming less of an important multimedia component on the devices these days.

Besides, the average person's workflow with photos has evolved to: take photo, apply old-looking filters, add degradation and blur, compress and post to Instagram.

Once camera phones can take RAW photos and have a sensor size larger than a peanut, I'll start caring.

The issue here is saturation. The top two pictures appear over-saturated to me. The iPhone 6 definitely picked up more details being a higher resolution camera, but the picture looks like it sat in the sun for a while. All three devices take beautiful pictures, but what appeals to the eye of each viewer is going to matter.

I found the Q10 photo more appealing to look at, but spent more time picking out the reflections in the car on the iPhone 6 picture. Depending on the parameters any one of these pictures can land their respective device a claim at "the bestof the three".

Most of the time, I wouldn't care about the difference, because I'm just taking pictures of family and friends.

However, try taking pictures of documents for work. Unfortunately, in that situation, my wife's iPhone 4s blows the Q10 out of the water. You CAN get a decent pic with the Q10, but you have to try harder (i.e., it takes longer, more fiddling around to get a decent focus, and often more than one shot). With the iPhone, it's point and click. This is one area BlackBerry should improve, because I doubt I am the only person getting my copies of documents this way, and BlackBerry is supposed to be focused on business.
HIGHLY recommend the app scanWritr from blackberry world, I use the free version, no issues with documents at all.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll give it a try.

I took a couple of document pics with my Q10 today, and it turns out it was in that time-lapse mode where you can adjust faces. When I put it in 'normal,' it suddenly became a lot snappier and took a good picture first time, every time. In fact, the pics are better than my wife's 4s. Mea culpa.

Maybe. In a bind, sure, I'll use my phone to take a photo, but if I'm actually planning to capture a moment, I don't leave home without my APS-C mirrorless and a nice pancake lens. I guess it depends on personal taste.

For example, everyone seems to be fine with recording videos in portrait. Few things in the world irk me the way that does.

I trust that you aren't calling me stupid.

To your comment I would like to point out that a phone's camera is not even close to a professional camera by any stretch of the imagination.

There is a thread on this forum dedicated to pictures taken with the Q10 camera.

However, for comparison sake, look at this link: Adirondack Museum - Album on Imgur

    Yes, with a 1.3MP camera.

It isn't the number of megapixels - it's how you use what you've got at hand.
