Would charging with the rapid charger damage the battery life? Eg, playbook charger.
I've heard from people that charging too fast damages battery life vs normal speed charging.

    Thanks

I have been using my PB charger on my Z10 for over a year. The battery is working as it should for its age in my opinion. I feel that no damage has been done.

I have used the PlayBook Charger to charge my Z10. I haven't had any problems with the batteries. They seem to last a typical length of time. I don't know how it would effect your Q10 however.

When I used the PlayBook charger on my Q10 and the battery would only last about four hour. I tried it a few time with the same results.

Interesting. Now you've scared me. I've had my Q10 for about a week and have been using the PlayBook charger exclusively. Haven't used any other one. Now I'm thinking I should use the one that came with the device to compare and see if I have the same results you did.

It probably does... but its negligible unless you plan to keep your phone for more than 5 years

I use a portable rapid charger on my Q10 sometimes when I'm dangerously low and have had no ill effects and normal battery life when it is not plugged in.

The phone will only take a certain voltage. They're smart enough not to take a strong enough current to damage themselves.

Depending on how you use and thus charge your device, noticeable degradation can occur within months. Ever race RC cars? Notice how they charge their battery packs? Low and slow. Temp management is the key. If anything, I would use the PB charger to periodically top off and use a standard charger to trickle full cycles. FYI, I usually charge the phone while it is sitting atop a piece of granite. Completely unnecessary, but keeps temps down. Then again, a new battery is relatively inexpensive.

I've used my pb charger exclusively since getting the q10 about six months ago. Battery still takes me through an entire day with pretty heavy use. Have noticed zero affect on the battery. If I do start to see reduced life, I'll just get a new battery and keep using the pb charger. so fast.

Same here, use the Playbook charger as my main charger. Takes too long to get a full charge on the original charger, haven't noticed a drop in battery life at all.

Like someone said a replacement battery is very affordable. The charging bundle is only $35 on Amazon also.

I read post recently that stated using car chargers damages the battery, because it is a rapid charger
