The Q10 seems to be intent on inserting random capitalizations on the middle of sentences. Nothing I seem to be able to do about it.

Nothing to do with the keyboard. Software driven. Just decides that a certain word should be capitalized in the middle of a sentence and that's it. I can go back and override it with some practice, but it's frustrating. Go type that same word a few words over and same thing repeats. Rubbish. For example, I was just texting my daughter about her temp guage in her car and guage kept getting capitalized in the middle of sentences.

If you press and hold a key it will capitalize that letter.

I understand that if you press and hold a key that it will capitalize it. I am not trying to capitalize things. I am try to write a normal sentence w/o the device randomly converting normal lower case letters at the beginning of words.

I believe this is a product of the phone attempting to learn based on previous entries. So for example, if the first time I type "Cat" it happens to be capitalized, the next time I type cat it will try to autocorrect it thinking I just forgot the caps. Maybe someone else can confirm or deny this.

I've seen this happen just a few times, not a big issue for me. Can not reproduce it now that I am trying, so I am not sure why it happens.

Maybe, but in this case, I am sure I have never used the word gauge before. Also, it's not capitalizing it now.

It's not too different than on of my shortcuts where I have set "txb" to convert to Thanks and Best, and the device decides on its own to change the replacement text to Thanks And Best. Very frustrating. Not sure how it decides to do this on its own.
