around 3.2...It is basically the 9900's screen extended to where the call, trackpack, and end buttons are.

If the 720x720 resolution is true, then that means the PPI will only be 310, lower than both the iPhone and the Z10, as well as any new android phone with HD screen. At 3 inches the PPI would be 340, and only the Z10 and HTC DNA would have higher PPI, and would keep quality on par with the Z10, so I think it will be 3". Of course if they go with a 768x768 resolution they can do a 3.2" at 340 PPI.
all smartphones are tools.
android = 48pc tool set (you"ll eventually find the tool you need, but some assembly required)
iphone = swiss army knife (most of the tools you need in a small, simple to use package)
blackberry = adjustable wrench (sometimes all you need is a wrench)
windows phone = bionic wrench (its different....but it works) - 12-31-2012, 01:30 PM #4
qwerty 10 screen size
I don't think that means what you think it means. Resolution doesn't increase or decrease by screen size. It remains constant. One square inch of 720x720 will have the same clarity of four square inches. Just much less viewable space and thus a less pleasurable experience. Back to the original question, I think that the phone picks up about .8 to 1 square inch by removing the trackpad and buttons.

You're right, resolution does not increase/decrease with screen size. But pixel density does. And that's what Fernandez21 is talking about. The N series would need a 3.2" screen running 768 square to make 340 PPI. The projected 720 resolution will yield 310 PPI at 3".

If that's the case, then the leaked images we've seen and called Dev Alpha devices fall pretty much in line with this: http://tctechcrunch2011.files.wordpr..._series_3.jpeg It doesn't exactly leave me salivating and itching to get my hands on it. Sigh...

truly, I want X10 screen size within 3,2 to 3,5" It will be better. But, above 3" (3.1") is good enough. If you want bigger screen, simple, don't buy X10, pick the Z10 for you. That will give you bigger screen. But without physical keyboard ofcourse.

HONK! IF YOU WANT BLACKBERRY 10

I'm a big blackberry fan cause of the incredible keyboards. But the small screen on my 9930 isnt cutting it anymore and the new BB10 X 3.1in wont cut it either. I guess i'll go with the Z10 series, first full touch smartphone i'll be getting, and its 4.2in is a great screen size. Plus, i believe you can use the full capability performance with the Z10 series...

I have done a poor mans comparision using the pic of all three BB10 devices in terms of screen sizes. Most major problem was the picture quality, which was pretty bad. You couldn't really tell where the screen area was. Even with quite some adjusting of contrast and birghtness I couldn't get a completely usable view. However, from what I could tell, the Nevada screen was almost 3.2" in size, compared to the London which was right left of that device. With now seeing the new, clearer pics with activated display, I think I have calculated the Nevadas screen area wrong, using a bit too much space. So a screen size of around 3.1" is IMO a bit more realistic than those 3.2". Those rumours, I don't really understand where those even come from, about the 3.5" display are completely wrong. There is no way that pictured device could have a larger screen than 3.2".

Someone said the 810's size is close to the 9900. Maybe someone could photoshop the x10 beside the 9900 and make a comparison from that.
