Q10 v10.1.0.238 (Germany, T-Mobile):

Dear Q10 friends,

I found some younger postings around here concerning the above topic. Some of them say, word substitution supports carriage return now in v.238; some say, it does not. My Q10 does not: On my Bold 9900 I had a lot of different signatures in my word substitution list, containing a lot of line feeds. But this does not work on my Q10 v.238. Everything is just a single line.

My questions:

1. Does v.238 support carriage returns within word substitution or not?

2. Do I have a wrong setting or do I have to wait for v10.2?

It seems to only work in some applications, email not being one of them. I often use an Autotext with line returns on Touch Messenger, which works. My business signature used to be an Autotext, but it appears as one entire line in the email app - even on Q10SQN100-3/10.2.0.228.

Now I just have it in the custom signature settings, and the new email app allows you to edit the signature per email before you send it out, in case I need to change contact info or tweak some formatting.

Dear Canada Panda,

thank's a lot for your information and especially for your advice. Instead of using word substitution, I will now store my main signatures in the signature settings of each account and might change them before sending.
