That, you have to check with someone who is based in Malaysia. I'm in Singapore unfortunately and have no idea. But the article did state the RRP for phone without contract at RM2388, which is around 785USD. I assume at some point, other retailers should have it for sale as well.

usually, mobile phones sold in malaysia are not locked. means, even if you were to purchase a mobile phone with a contract, you can simply slip in any carrier's sim in and use it.

unlike in many countries, mobile phones are not locked here in malaysia.
