If what I'm reading is correct Rogers has the 2600Mhz LTE and Telus is using Bands 17, 5, 2, and 4....
I'll assume then that LTE then will not work when unlocked from Rogers to Telus but will be fine on HSPA..

Just something to think about when buying the phone out from other providers and unlocking..

LTE will work regardless of carrier. 2600 MHz devices will step back to the 1700/2100 MHz networks (even if on another carrier).

I think 2600 is just faster speeds, the phone should still drop back to the other frequencies

You mean that Rogers has exclusivity on the white model for now, not that they are exclusively carrying the white model. They have the black model as well.

The frequency capability between the two Q10's (Rogers & Telus) also intrigues me.

    Rogers: Http://www.rogers.com/web/link/wirel...IMNBLK&N=52+11
    LTE: 2600
    HSPA+ : 850/1900/2100
    GSM: 850/900/1800/1900

    Telus: http://www.telusmobility.com/en/ON/b...BANq10preorder
    LTE: 700 / 850/ 1900/ AWS (Band 4)
    HSPA+ : 2100 / 1900/ 850/ AWS (Band IV)
    GSM: 850/900/1800/1900

    For reference, Rogers Z10:
    LTE: 700/850/1700/1900
    HSPA+ : 850/1900/2100
    GSM: 850/900/1800/1900

Are Rogers peeps losing 700/850/1700/1900 LTE bands with the Q10???

That the way in read that.. also the lower the spectrum the better regarding signal strength the higher they will need more tower's for coverage but higher speed.

The Fido version of the Q10 states the following bands:
    LTE 2, 5, 4, 17 (700/850/1700/1900 MHz).

It must be typo on the Rogers website as I didn't think that the 2600 band had been rolled out countrywide.

I also believe it will fall back onto lower LTE bands. 2600 Mhz isn't everywhere and I think it would be a disaster for them if they forced 2600 MHz only.

I wonder why the Z10 can't work on 2600 MHz. It's the exact same spec phone. Maybe something in 10.1 enables this?

No not a typo. Rogers has an entire website advertising their new 2600 Band 7 LTE. Bell is also planning on using 2600, it's just Telus that hasn't followed suite...or at least not indicated that they will be

    No the European Z10's (STL100-2) use 2600.

The Z10's are quad-band. Maybe the Q10's will have Penta-Bands. We BBRY has the capability as they own Paratek

Since Rogers, Bell, Telus, and their subsidiaries all use the same bands as AT&T, any Q10 bought from them should work.

So TELUS isn't getting the white version at launch? Dang it! And I would also assume that unlocking will be hard to come by on day 1, so the white version is probably out of the question for me

This is painful to keep getting emails about.

The 2600 Q10 is backwards compatible.
