A friend of mine has had her Q10 for about 1 month and she noticed it seems to be taking random pictures.
Anyone encounter this problem?

Taking random pictures? Or just seeing random pictures? Some apps load pictures onto the device and make you say WTF. ie Pinterest

I just noticed the same after sideloading Tumblr. The app saves viewed pictures on the device, yet you can't even delete them in your gallery.

It's actually snapping pictures.
I use a Z10 so I am not too familiar with the Q10.
Is there a button that perhaps she is hitting without noticing it? I asked her about it and she said no.

Well first you surely need to have the camera application open. Unlike your Z10, you can snap photos with the spacebar of the hardware keyboard. However the device shouldn't be able to take pictures while the camera app (or any other app using the camera) is not actually active and running.

Also, on the Z10, you can use the VOL keys to snap photos, If the camera app is open. I've also had my phone turn on and start snapping pics in my pocket, but I was working and getting sweaty which I think triggered the phone against my leg thru the pocket.
