    I can now only take /make a call on speaker as there just isn't enough sound coming from the ear speaker

    Sounds like it's on its deathbed.. You can try reloading your OS to see if that will help.. doubt it will but who knows. If your device is fairly new, see if there's any warranty left on it or if you can get an exchange... finally, if none of that helps... you can try replacing it yourself. There's not exactly a fix all option in this scenario.
