Hey folks,

My q10 is regularly shutting down at 10 or more percent of battery left. Has anybody else come across this issue? I can understand that the phone wants to prevent loss of data but this can't be the issue since this happens at random battery percentage under 15 percent.
Can you actively influence this by any chance?

It a known bug, I think the new os that's out might fix it,

Has your carrier come out with the update yet, I think a few people said it fixes this issue.

Since the update to 10.2.1.2977 my device will go down to 5% before powering down.

With your phone switched on, plug in your wall charger. With the phone still switched on, remove the battery for +/- 1 minute, this will cause a system reset with no loss of data, put the battery back in and the power off problem should be resolved.

At the beggining i thought i was the only one with that problem.... , but it seems like @SIFF said its a known issue ....
Everything starts at 14% battery .When you take of the sim the battery lasts until 0% .If you have the sim inside it shuts down when you receive or make a call at 14% or below
Ihave changed 3 Q10's and all of them had the same problem
Ihave tried every solution out there , but nothing ....
I really hope blackberry is informed about this issue
We lose about 1/6 battery life on our Q10 devices .Im really disappointed about this problem and i dont know what to do
p.s many blackberry fans with Q10's have this issue and dont know it , cause they charge the device from 20% and above ....
i hope blackberry fixes this ...cause neither 10.3 dev os fixes it ....

Yes I did .....
I bought a Z30 and never looked back to the Q10....
In my opinion worst battery out there (Q10)
A phone with a 2100mAh battery and lasts only a few hours ...
Only blackberry can do this ....
Unfortunately this is a known issue for blackberry,but continues to sell these damn phones (Q10)
So many Q10 phones have this 14% and below issue ....blackberry has been informed...they know the problem ...but can't fix it

I have to disagree about the q10 being a bad phone, that's just ridiculous. I had one before I bought my z30 and the battery last as long or longer in the q10 as the z30. When I had my q10 I unplug at 6:30am and most days I didn't have to plug back in until I went to bed around 11:00 PM
And that is with a lot of use

Sorry but my Z30 lasts for 2 days (48) + and the Q10 I had (3 of them) with the same use only last 12-14 hours

Although battery performance like you said is average, I can still live with that. But phone switching off at 14 % just sucks.

I totally agree with you,that's the reason i left forever the Compact Q10...
