Remove the keyboard button layer by unsnapping the fasteners lining the edges of the keyboard buttons which will reveal the white middle layer and the source of your double typing

I used one of those little plastic pry tools (they kind of look like a guitar pick -- and a pick would work). Insert it between the top edge (the metal and the black plastic), pry a bit, and work your way around the edges. On the sides, you'll also see two little metal clips that you want to release. They're to the inside of the parts that clip into the bezel frame of the phone. Once I got a bit of the edges released, I stuck a plastic card (a credit card would work) between the layers and wiggled it around a bit, and continued prying with the pick. Does that help at all?
