To what temperature? All normal phones will get heated up in relation to the amount of usage.

There are various aps that will show you the temperature, I use Gadget Box myself, it shows the temperature in an active frame while also having aa number of semi useful features in the ap itself. I'm not 100% but I also believe most of the dedicated battery aps will give you the same information.

Yup, it's normal for the centre and left side to heat up a lot during long use.

Paperwork says phone may heat up to 95 degrees while charging or in use.

But you did get the phone at an attractive price. Used? Could be why it was sold.

Short answer--yes it's normal. Charging and/or talking on the phone will definitely create heat, but really any sort of heavy power usage will do that.

It you are concerned about overheating, I suggest as others have that you download a monitoring app. I use Battery Guru, which let's you see both power consumption and battery temperature.
