I performed a security wipe on my Q10 that went on and on for days. It finally came up with the error BlackBerry Smartphone support - Canada. I did some searching on the forms and found a solution that worked for some people in which you use BB link to re-load the OS. I tried this and it just comes up with a message that says "reset your device:Press and hold the power button on your device for 10 seconds until your device turns off." But the device is in a constant boot cycle. I can re-boot it but it does not solve the error. This screen freezes for 5 mins and then I get the message "a connection to the device could not be established". Of course the phone cannot be found it has nothing on it. Any suggestions? Thanks!

http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-le...rchive-943672/ find a file that matches your phone.

Then follow these instructions to use that file to reload your OS http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-le...loader-927076/

Thanks for the try. I'm losing hope here, not really a tech guy I downloaded an autoloader and an os file. Found a way to extract the apparently zipped file (all new to me). But when I try to load the os by clicking on the OS unzipped file the auto loader comes up but does nothing. The phone still has the error message. Based on these instructions it should start automatically:

Are you sure your USB cable is good? Are you able to attempt using a different USB cable?

The phone is getting power from the cable so it should be connecting. I will try another just in case.

    Thanks

I know I've substituted generic USB cables for my BlackBerry devices with poor results in data connection. It's odd but for some reason the authentic OEM cables do seem to make a difference.

You guys are not going to believe this...it's stunning to me but Semime you are dead on. I used the usb from my Dtek50 and bam it picked it up. Hopefully it works...ill let you know. Thanks for reminding me that sometimes the most simple solution is the right solution. Cheers!
