I have a problem with my phone updates. My phone is currently at version 10.1.0.4181 and I have been trying to upgrade 10.2 for the past couple of days. I have tried updating from my phone but it keeps saying its the latest version (I bought mine unlocked). I also tried connecting to blackberry link, however it seems that the mac version is extremely buggy. I have problems backing up my phone, sometimes it doesn't recognize my phone and asks me to perform a factory restore. My problem is that on some occasions when I connect my phone it tries to install 10.1.0.4181. After installing the update I notice some new apps on my phone (tutorials, box, foursquare amongst others). If I remove an app and connect the phone to my mac a few days later it asks me to reinstall 10.1.0.4181.

Anyone encountered this problem?

Yes it prompts to reinstall because you keep deleting the apps, you should just reinstall then upgrade to 10.2 and move the apps you'd delete to a separate folder.

It keeps asking me to install the same update over and over which is 10.1.0.2019 AT&T release. Is already on my phone and no apps deleted yet it wants to reinstall it every time I connect my phone. That's both versions of Link also. On my laptop I have the older and desktop the newer. Both do it. Has also been determined to be the cause of my ear piece sounding busted. That's what happened to my last one and the ear piece sounded busted. Same on the replacement. Hesitant to even bother using Link again.

Are you using Link for Mac or Windows? In my case, Link has been unable to communicate with the device after 'updating' to 10.1.0.4181 to recover the deleted apps. I have re-connected my device a lot of times... Installing Windows on my laptop is not an option at the moment either.

Update: Just as I posted the above, I connected the phone to my home wifi. Somehow Link was able to see my device and I received the 10.2 update notification!
