Hey guys, now ive seen many threads about battery life issues and im sorry if we are going over old ground, when I got my Q10 my battery was lasting under 5 hours, so I went and bought a new genuine blackberry nx1 battery, ive had the new battery for about 5 days now and ive not noticed an improvement like others have said, I have 3g turned off as in my area 3g is weak, now its connected to both 2g and wifi, ive got the brightness turned down and a black wallpaper, I use task manager and keep background tasks closed, also nfc and location services are off, I dont think that its my wireless connections that are draining my battery as I put my phone into bedside mode that puts my phone into flight mode and display off yet my phones battery drops 20% overnight, kind regards, and sorry for info overload

im getting 8 hours on a full charge, any advice?

It looks like you've had your phone off the charger for over 14 hours in this graph and still have 59% left. That's not bad battery life.

This is what I've noticed about the graph is that it's based on current usage. If I use mine intensely for a couple hours it will show that I only have 6-8 hours battery left. I think that's based on that type of usage. It'll say that and I'll put it down for a couple hours while working on something and it'll say I have 12-14 hours left. If I leave it alone to watch a movie or visit with family it'll say I have 1 day and 6 hours.

I think the hours left is if you use it at that pace.

I'm up and at'em at 4:00 AM each morning when I take my Q10 off the charger. It will usually be down to 20% around dinner time with heavy use throughout the day.

According to your graph I would say you are getting good battery life.

The key is to not expect to get the battery life of some of the legacy devices. I used to get several days off a charge with my old 9650.

This was in the first week of having the new battery, like others have said it takes time to settle in, my battery is now lasting a day with heavy usage so im quite happy with that , thanks for all the replies guys
