    How old is your Q10?
When did you upgrade the OS?

BB-OS needs some time to index/settle... a week is a reasonable time to judge.

Did you consider to buy a second battery to swap it if you still need power and no time to recharge? The advantage: charge in the bundle and the phone is always available!

Turn up the polling time on your email accts to lower the PIM services if you can or want to. PIM services is your email and text messages. System could be anything. Did you install any new apps recently? Maybe that OS just isn't the best one for your phone. Have you tried a different version?

How many hours of battery life would you say you are getting on one fully charged battery with 10.3.0.908 (or the average drain rate)? When did you install the OS? And if you could also post to here screenshots from device manager of the 24 hour range graph and the first few programs listed, that would help.

On average I get anywhere between 15 to 20 hours of battery life with mixed use (-2 10.2.1) so a Q10 not lasting through the day seems normal from my viewpoint without more information.

JFYI, it's an OS leak. Actually wouldn't consider a leak since this is what came with Passport but yes Q10 would skip 10.3 and would get 10.3.1 instead. I wasn't getting SMSes so I reloaded my 10.2 settings, started getting SMSes but then noted this battery drain issue. I don't play much game and I suspect it's the syncing interval of PIM causing the issue.

well, its the same time each day. what are you doing around 10 am everyday for it do drop like that? I mean technically if you look at that graph it's giving a 24 hour turn around before you plug it back in at 10 am. why not just plug it in each night

I agree with the above post. I'd say with that usage, your phone has almost a battery capacity of 24h (minus the charging time)... So a solution also be to charge it for 2-3 hours at a moment during the day/night when you know you don't use/need the phone... during lunchtime/class/meetings/sleep... So you charge every 21 hours for 2-3 hours.

Does it mean the 24 hour battery life is okay? I don't use it much though. It's in roaming and probably the continuous syncing is what draining the battery.

    Honestly, it's really okay!
Other phones have to be charged much more frequently...
The only phone that lasts more than the Q10 is the bold 9900... in my opinion...
The Q10 is said to work 13,5 hours continuous calling on 3G and has a great standby of more than one week... naturally only if the data is off, waiting for phone calls and short text messages only, no media... which no one does with a smartphone.
I tried that by swapping my car phone (which happens to be my older Bold) with the Q10, it lasted from monday to saturday morning with some charge left (with Bold, I don't need to bother, it's a week or more, in standby)... so if you only need a phone to get calls, you have the power to travel, data off...
I have also about 19-22 hours of power on my Q10, a little bit more (about 6 hours more) on my passport, with same use.

Since I am reading a lot these days while listening to classic music, I carry a 2nd battery for my Q10. This allow me to swap the battery or charge over the little cable in the library.

I don't know how you use your device, but the overall drain rate is consistent for you on each discharge period and also similar to what I am getting, so I would consider that normal. I get close to 20 hours of battery life on a single charge (on a good day) so you are better off then me. I would still check your settings to make sure but the battery life seems fine.

I had a better battery life on 10.2 like I said before. May be something to do with the settings. But as everyone has been saying, 24 hours I shouldn't be complaining ;-). Still hoping the official 10.3.1 wpuld bring in better battery life.

Roaming drains the battery more than anything because it's still trying to find the carriers signal just like poor signals in general. 24 hours on a battery is good.

I'm afraid it is not even staying up more than 10 hours :-(. I would need to check after going back to my base location since I am in roaming currently, but battery not lasting a full day is definitely a concern. Partially I might blame leak also responsible for this and I hope 10.3.1 might give a better battery life.

Could be an app. Be careful with podcast apps. A lot of the time they don't close completely even when you close the active frame.

To give you an example of how an app can affect your device:

I was using my playbook yesterday. When typing into youtube, the letters would be so delayed I closed the browser. To make a long story short, I deleted/uninstalled 3 apps and the browser ran a lot smoother. As if the playbook was brand new.

Who knows how much apps actually affect productivity and performance. Just my idea of what could be affecting your battery life.
