So my launch Q10's battery door has become so loose that I'm using camera tap to keep it secure (naked). Is this an issue with the body or the door wearing down? Could this be remedied in the Q50 with a snap on cover--a la the Z30? Or is that one having issues as well?

Yours is the first case I've heard of a bad battery door on the Q10. Mine, and almost everybody else's, is extremely well made with tight tolerances all around. Did you ever drop it? I suggest you go to a carrier store and ask if you can just try on the battery door from a demo unit or from one of the Q10's they have in stock. If that tightens it up you know you just got a bad one. You can get a replacement battery door cheaply and easily.

Mine's loose a bit too, I got my Q at launch day in canada. I've just folded a business card and inserted it between the battery and the door. Nice and tight

I use my Q the way it should be... NAKED just to show how amazing and how strong HE is :-P

Mine is loose. I had to put some electric tape strips on my battery. Sucks, but it works. 9900 had the same problem.

I think that there are some securing plastic pieces that wear down after repeated use. My battery cover was tight, but has become almost unusably loose without a bit of camera tape.

Yeah. Same as my Q10.. the cover is kinda loose.. i can tap the batt cover and it will make a ticking sound..
