Hi, I've just spent ages trying to send my gf an sms with this: , which I can get by holding the 'a' key, and suggestions appear, and the message seems ok.

However, when I actually send it, it turns out like this: a, without the last 'a' accented. I turned off both spell-check and auto-correction but the problem persists.

I know this is a silly thing to ask for, but I'm really pissed that I can't send what I want with my q10, sth I could with my Nokia3310 ten years ago.

Hmm it got deleted even here. It's the letter 'a' with accent to the left above it, like:

It seems that even the CB app deletes the whole letter if it' accented, wtf?

I am having issues with the accented letters too. Holding the letter doesn't work for me. I have to wait for spell check in order for me to choose the word with the accent.

Same here with my girlfriend's Q10. We speak french so accents are a big part of typing, and sometimes for no reason they wouldn't show up anymore with a long press on a key, just the capital letter.

A reboot usually fixes the problem... for a while, until it comes back.

Do any of you is on the 10.2.0.1047 leak? I was considering installing it on her Q10 to see if it helps.

My accents are working fine. Q10 on Verison OS version 10.1.0.2038



Must be a settings issue.

OK, yeah. The CB app is definitely deleting them from posts. Weird, but I've sent myself a text message and they're working 100%.

Seems like three different problems here:
- Accents not going through SMS
- Accented characters not appearing with a long key press
- Accented characters being removed from CB10 posts creation, and appearing weird when viewing desktop posts from CB10

Are you setting your phone's input language to the language you are using where you need the accents or are you using an English input but adding accents? Just wondering, because I haven't tried it on my Q10 yet, but I had noticed on my 9900 that even when I changed the input language to Spanish, typed with accents, and then pressed the "send" key. The accents would disappear on my message display.
