If you are worried that the 9900 will not work, don't worry the phone will still work if you perform a device switch. It basically migrates (copies) your exiting data and settings to the new phone.

I know that my 9900 will still work aftwr i do a device switch. What i want to know is if its possible for blackberry link to recognise os7 backup file and if blackberry link can restore the backup into a BB10 device?
