So I have a LG G3 and I do not like it that much. Today is my last day to return it. So I will be doing this later today. Problem is I have to use an old school Samsung flip phone until my Q10 gets here Tuesday or Wednesday. What can I do to get my contacts transferred over to the Q10 when it arrives. I am not sure I can do anything esp. since my intermediate phone will be an old school flip.

I just really do not want to have to enter them manually.

PS I am a new member and this is my first post so take it easy on me !!!

In your samsung, there will be an option called move contacts to sim! After that when you insert the sim in your q10, you get all the contacts!

Or sometimes the carrier themselves can transfer you contacts for you by hooking both phones on a data transfer machine.

I suggest to use "device switch":
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ymigrate&hl=de
Same App is available on BBWorld:

I did not know "Link" could do this!!
You need a BB ID (you'll need it anyway for BB-world):

InTouchApp for BackUpSync does the job, too...
I'd try Link and this one.
    I'd trust Link more.

I'd use link. But I would also create a separate back up to be safer, i've used an app call intouch contacts that worked really well.

The problem is I will not have the LG G3 when the blackberry arrives. Only an OLD OLD phone which is as plain as they get. The G3 is running android...The old Samsung isn't running android. That is how plain it is.

SO when I switch to the flip, ill have to go back to an older school type sim, not the micro ones the G3 use.

I think when you set up the Google account, it is synchronized automatically...
It was a studious step though... It has to do with the set up: check out this page:
    http://m.crackberry.com/how-setup-gm...av-and-carddav
There are many steps to do, but I did them and it works!!
The secret/keyword is CalDAV for Calender synch and CardDAV for Contacts synch!
It works on BB10 and Playbook!

I just set up CardDAV on my Playbook! It works!!
If you have a two step authentification on google, you must require an App-Password (Desktop computer or Desktopmode on phone, Security then App passwords)

Check with your carrier. They usually have their own over the air contacts backup. I'm with Verizon (backup assistance). Sync before you give back the lg. Then when you get the your Q10 log into backup assistance and WALA all your contacts are there.

    The best thing is Google.
As LG G3 is an Android device, I'm sure you might be using a GMail address with it (to link the Playstore)

So automatically, the contacts are already present in your Google account. To double check, you can go to gmail.com from your PC or Laptop. Click on the extreme left corner, there would be a drop down menu, showing you various options like. Mail, Contacts, etc.,

You need to click on contacts and see if it has been synced. (See your phonebook in the G3 and the GMAIL on PC) if all the contacts are present. You are good to go.
You don't need to do anything else.

And when your Q10 arrives, just link that E-Mail to your Q10, and you would be good to go.

If ever you still face any issues, just drop me an E-Mail at [email protected] and I will try my best to help you regarding this. It's easy, not too hard either.

    Cheers!

Hotmail and whatever Apple calls MobileMe these days also work flawlessly.

Both have my contacts, and I've never had trouble switching devices. I've also helped people switch from iPhone.

If you have any trouble PM me, I'll be glad to help, but please sync your contacts via Apple, Hotmail, Exchange, or that God forsaken G word serive before giving up your current smartphone.

Also of note, if you're in the US and you ordered your phone through BB, they ship FedEx, signature required. Unlike UPS, they try to do residential delivery during the workday.
