    No, the point of this thread is not to blame the stormy weather on the Q10.











    Is anyone else in a stormy area experiencing anything odd with their Q10 today?
    We have had thunderstorms rolling through on and off for about 13 hours now.
    Starting about 7 hours ago my Q10 started freezing. It would show the active app page and no swiping or button pressing would do anything. The first time I waited it out and after a minute or two it came back to life. The second time it happened I did a hard reboot. The third time a physical battery pull (a real pain in the neck with an Otter case).
    It seems to have recovered somewhat but still seems slugish (i.e. Emails open blank for a while before filling in and similar occurrences in other apps).
    I have mad no changes on my phone in the past week and it has been reliable until this.
    I am wondering if the phone is having difficulty processing network glitches caused by surges due to the storm......

    Edit: I neglected to mention that part of the day, it was hot to the touch and the battery seemed to drain much faster than ever before as well.

    I don't believe the storms had anything to do with the issues but more the device getting hot.

    I have noticed that in Stormy weather their coverage is less than ideal. Let me know....

    I dont have a Q10 but i am on vzw and yes their coverage has problems during storm. I can lose or have weak 4G which can result in lag and decreased battery.

    Interesting. I wonder if anyone can confirm the same for Rogers whom I use in Canada. In the US I am on ATT.

    When verizon first launched the LTE service the coverage was spotty which would cause my devices to search for signal and sometimes cause a reboot or freeze up. Constant signal searching eats and heats up your battery and causes your device to act up.

    As far as a storms go I road out the last two hurricanes on the east cost with no effect on any of my 3G or 4G devices.


    I also have an area near me where LTE is limited and it always plays havoc with my devices.
