    So the emergency alerts are sent out via Texts. They come from a lot of different agencies and whatnot. Occasionaly I don't wish to be bugged with email chirps or other stuff, but I always want my texts. Am I correct there's no way to turn texts on or build custom profiles on this OS like there was on the other ones?

    Yeah the profiles are not available like that yet but hopefully soon.

    Wow...why on earth did they eliminate that feature? Is there some logic I'm missing?

    It was not "eliminated", it wasn't there in the first place. BlackBerry 10 was a fresh start, and unfortunately it has some catching up to do with the legacy OS with regards to certain functionality.

    Not ideal but if you use Hub++ you can set textmsg notifications as whatever you want with sound. Hub++ currently overrides normal profile adjustments. The problem with this is even if you set the profile to complete vibrate, whatever you have set in Hub++ will still come through.
