is it realy true that there will not be any charging stand / pod for the Q10?
The USB Port is on the left side, no charging "point" at the bottom, and it is total useless to plug in a Q10 on "side" ....
even the accessoires catalogue does not mention any charging solution beside plugging a cable in....

In CrackBerry review of the Z10 and Q10 in January, they said that there wasn't going to have charging contacts on the new devices. I know it sucks.

Ready to have a few spare charges around, and this can't be good for the USB port on the device either.. And it will look ugly and clattered on desk.

I use my PlayBook charger to charge my 9930 and my PlayBook. By doing this I have only one charger on my desk maybe this can be done for the Z10 or Q10. I had a charging dock for my 8530 but didn't purchase one with my 9930 (I was waiting on the Z10 or Q10 but need a new phone).

I have two pods for my 9700, one at work one at home, on top of the PB charger (charger broke recently, I think because of too much activity, and the PB was used a lot while charging, so I guess it has some loose connections in the cable somewhere) but having pods are really extremely convenient. No pods, no holster functions, it doesn't feel like a BB anymore.

They are great feature and will greatly be missed. I could live without the holster function ( I like) but want the charging dock.

I really hope BlackBerry chooses to do something like the HTC One dock. Perhaps the phone can slide in horizontally, and there'll be a microusb on the left side of the dock?




It wouldn't be as efficient as simply dropping the phone into the dock, but it could still be quite nice.

Agreed. Seems like this would be a no brainer to have included but obviously not. I love having my phone in a dock on my desk.

Does the phone at least go to bedside mode? Does the bedside mode work in landscape? Otherwise it will look really odd docked like that. Of course it doesn't matter if all you need is just charging, but still it is odd.

Probably no charging stand, unless they make an oddly shaped vertical stand that has sides that come all the way up to the USB port, LOL!!!! Would be one weird looking stand.

A charging stand, or lack thereof, is absolutely NO reason to not buy a Q10 and definitely is a pretty pathetic reason for leaving the platform altogether. Wow. Really? LoL, ya, really...

The phone has bedside mode, yes. Plug it in, and place it on your night table beside your bed. If you really want or need a stand, make your own, using chopped up 2 X 4's or old bricks. Then, while the Q10 is propped up on your makeshift stand, plug it in, so it chages. BINGO!!! A stand. MacGuyver

I currently have two charging stands for my BB9900 (one each for home office and client office) and use them to make/receive hands-free calls (as well as charging the phone....) - I also had two stands for my 9700 and also for my previous 9000....

Not having the ability to get a Charging Stand is one of the reasons I have been holding off on getting a Q10

I'll wait a little longer and 1) see if BBRY brings out an official Q10 charging stand, and/or 2) read some reviews of this Goose White Charger
