Hey everyone...new Crackberry user here with a Q10 question re link and sync with Outlook function. When I try to sync I get the following message:

"Configuration Value for /Preferences/Account_1_65537/DevicePin not set in TransConfig.xml for translator RimBB"

Can anyone advise me how to resolve the issue?
    Thanks!

Is that something like "seeks professional help"?

    Sorry, couldn't help myself.

Got the same problem with the same unhelpful error message. Was there any resolution? I've tried all I can think of including spending hours on the phone to technical assistance. Other than wiping the phone and starting again, there does not seem to be a solution to this big. Blackberry Q10 Software version 10.1 with updated firmware on computer, attempting to synch with MS Outlook 2010 using Windows 7 OS.

    Has anyone any idea?

I finally got an answer from BB that can be read here.... KB34453-BlackBerry Link displays the error: Sync was unsuccessful error – “CPreferencesManager:Configuration Value for /Preferences/Account_3_196610/DevicePin not set in TransConfig.xml for Translator RimBB”

It basically said 2 things - #1 - BB aware of problem and hasn't resolved it yet
    #2 - if using 64-bit Outlook try a patch...see link above.

I use 32-bit so they can't fix it yet.

Open a command prompt as administrator (Start - All Program - Accessories - Command Prompt (Right-Click - Run as Administrator)

There are two possible commands you will need to paste into the command prompt window.

Here is the link explaining the problem and telling you what to do:
