Exclamation NEW Q10 PHOTOS! Carbon Weave backplate vs. Rubberized backplate

Here are some new photos, I now have a newer release version of the phone which does appear to pack the rubberized back, still 1800 mAh battery unclear on if that will change.

not sure which one to pick up when it's made available on AT&T, but I think I'm pulling towards the rubberized backplate because it will slide less on flat surfaces...

A white Q10 will be reviewed next week along with a limited edition Z10 hopefully, I like the look of the carbon weave myself I mean carbon fibre look is always awesome, just something doesn't seem right looks to flat and bland I think if the carbon weave wasn't nearly as glossed to enhance the weave itself would be an ideal seller. Rubberized feels good and sits well on surfaces, doesn't slip as much but feels and looks much cheaper to me, although for product lineup I guess it does match...

Guess it really doesn't matter to me since my phone will be in a case.

I'm confused, there will be a choice of back plates on AT&T?

I would choose the rubberized back , as others have said, no slipping on hard surfaces.

I would have liked to have the carbon weave option for the Z10. It would look quite nice. I wonder why they didn't have this option for the all-touch? Pricing?

Great stuff! The rubberized back does look really nice. Gives the device a nice high end look compare to the weave (which i love btw!). My concern is the weave would get scruff marks on it (looks like it in the pic already --> my 9900 suffered the same fate). Anyways, thanks for the updates!

I love the rubber back on my Z def would prefer to have the same on the Q though I thought the Q with the rubber backs are older units and BBRY has decided to go with the other back cover for the launch of the Q devices...

The one on the right is going to be the official black colored device and the one on the left with carbon weave will be the white model when released.

A white model with a rubberized backplate would get dirty so fast. Similar to how the white Z10 doesn't have the same backplate as the black Z10.

But the white model has also been visualized with the 'textured plastic' backing similar to the white Z10:
I believe these are official BlackBerry images that gsmarena is using.

I stand corrected. I think it's a terrible idea if that's final. White rubber will get dirty really fast. Options for the people isn't a bad thing though. I'll would stick with black though.

Nice. Now I wonder what they look like with the back plates swapped...

I don't get how the black one has carbon weave and the white one will get rubberized backing?? That to me doesn't make sense! As a previous post said it would get real dirty quick with that rubberized backing

What is with the battery only being a 1800 mAh? It was stated by BB that it would be a 2100 mAh. Doesn't really affect me anyway seeing as how I have a Z10 but for most looking to get this phone that was a great surprise when it was revealed.

Now following you on Twitter. (@turnda643)

Thanks for the pics. Awesome! As I definitely like the look of the glass weave, I think the rubberized back would be more efficient for me. I pull my 9670 Style out of the holster often at work and cause of the slick back, it's slipped out of my hand several times. So just for that, I'd prefer the rubberized back. But then also, maybe if the Q10 shipped with the weave back and the rubberized back was made available to purchase on the side, I'd do that and just switch to the rubberized back when at work.

1337group, have you heard any rumblings of release dates for USA?
