It's gotta be software bud. It's an 'in call' thing if that makes sense. I've serviced many speakers before. I'm more worried about the wobble on the back cover when the nfc contacts are. Annoying as hell

Agreed I am using a BlackBerry q10 as well and wondered about all the issues mentioned but I don't have that crackling issue you reported!

Andorejunior, you were right, it was a software problem, I updated the software to v. 10.1.0.273 and that strange sound disappear, I am so happy.

Great to hear! I wish my back cover was software lol. Can anyone else confirm this? It's very bouncey right where the NFC contacts sit.

My back cover is nice and stiff all around even in the nfc area... think u should replace it

Thanks man. I just got my hands on another phone and it's fine. This one's goin back. It's my second one, last one was a creaking space bar and the girl in before me had a wobbly space bar good luck dudes

The crackling WAS a software issue! I updated to 10.1.0.273 just now and it wasnt there anymore!

The back issue seems to be a fault, so better replace it. Mine is nice and solid.

Hey guys just got the Q10. Quick question, after browsing through it for couple of hours, i noticed that every time i quit an app, it takes me to the homescreen and than that app that i just quit, the icon of it flashes for 1 second? Is that normal? does that happen to you guys too? For example: if i open bbm and than close it, it will take me to the homescreen and than bbm icon will flash for quick second?

Same here. Not a big deal though. Probably it just flashes to indicate that the app is now closed.

Same thing happens on the playbook, it's just the app closing, kinda dims then goes back to normal

Hi. Your phone should prompt you that there is a new update. Mine did. Alternatively. you can request a check by typing "software update" anywhere on the main screen and the global search should give you a suggestion (with the green icon of rotating arrows) You choose that and then you press "check for updates" and you should be on your way.

Got it. But mine is .238 while the others people here are .273
I just wanna know that kind of my Q10 (free sim from clove.co.uk) can update to .273 or not.

which network are you with? virgin mobile seem to be taking an age to push this out
