The new update is terrible with the tiny icons on the Q10.
It's makes sense for the Passport when the screen is huge, but the Q10 screen is too small.

Is there anyway to get back the previous configuration of 4x4 App icons like before?

Nope. It's how it is now.

Myself, I don't think they are smaller. Just the gray shade was removed.

EDIT: So, screen shotcomparison below (both Z30s). Some are actually bigger, a few are smaller, font is usually bigger. You guys complained so much about the gray shade... Not it's gone. Deal with it.

There is only ONE way to get your 4x4 back and that is to revert back to 10.2.1.xxxx, sorry to say. However you should give it a few days and I think you will probably get used to it. The icons themselves are really not much smaller, it's just that the gray box (shadow) is gone and this makes them appear much smaller.

That's been my main gripe with 10.3.1 as well. But as others have said, you do get used to it. I hope someone will develop an app that can make the size of icons bigger, that would be awesome

It is you. So far all the reportings I have read claim the speed to be faster. How long ago has the update completed?

My Q10 is on steroids after this update! Its blazing fast and super smooth. Even inside apps like Facebook. Love it. And I don't think that icons are that tiny. I would never roll back.

Did you made this statement after spending 15 minutes with the update.
Phone was slower for some time right after update, because it was running some other things in background (application updates as well another small OS update). After all that was done, Q10 was back to its previous speeds.

You will get used to the smaller icons.

I hated them at first, but now I don't understand how I ever like the nasty large grey boxed icons in 10.2.1

I need bigger size icon especially on the text below icon apps. It really hurts for my eyes. I hope Blackberry make the option to change icon size for the next update. Im go back to 10.2.1

I got used to the smaller icons. I hated them at first, but now, I can't go back to the bigger ones of 10.2. And the endless folders of 10.3.1.....overall, I'm sticking/satisfied with 10.3.1. Give it time, you'll know what I mean.
