...exactly what I expected. Because I watched 1000 hours of video reviews, hands ons, demos and sneak peaks. Im shocked theres so many people on this board saying "this thing sticks its not like my "9XXX" blah blah!! Well didn't you look into it first? Didn't you play with a demo or friends unit?

I dunno im trying to keep it positive but each time I see a post complaining about the lack of keyboard shortcuts or small icon fonts i shake my head. Anyway, I love my q!0 and i came to terms with its limitations months before I owned one

oh and even overcame a few....hello sideloading!

Congrats! I bumped into a friend yesterday. He noticed I have a Z10 so he asked me how I like it. I said this is the best all-touch screen smartphone I've ever had (iPhone 4 was my last one). He is still using a 9900. Right now, his agreement is pretty much ending so he played my Z10 for a while and realized BB10 has a greater OS than legacy OS. However, based on his situation (having fat fingers), he insists on getting a phone with physical keyboard rather than typing on pixels because he had trouble typing on a virtual keyboard when he was using Samsung something (the predecessor of Galaxy II) before he switch to 9900. Now he decides to grab Q10 pretty soon.

I've had my Q10 for a couple of weeks, and although at first I was not sure if I liked as much as my 9900, I am very pleased with it. Of course I still have my 9900 on my 2nd line so if I feel the need to play with the track ball I can...hahaha I'm getting accustomed to the swiping and HUB. Bottom line for me I'm really liking my new Q10.

Have the Q10 for a couple of months now (came from a Note 2) and I love my communication brain. Like the OP I have watched everything on the Q10 and bought it without trying it out first. Never needed a zillion apps and happy with the ones I use.

Recently switched from Z10 to Q10 and so far so good. Loving the keyboard!! Got really used to the virtual keyboard but nothing beats a BlackBerry physical keyboard.

Glad to hear you've approached the device with both open mind and arms! I, too, did a lot of research on the Q10 before getting one. Youtube has been my best friend.

It's been at least a year since I've touched a BlackBerry, so I haven't had very many missteps between BlackBerry 10 and OS7. In fact, it seems I only truly remember certain things that OS5, OS6, and OS7 could do when someone reminds me lol

Exactly... All the reviews exclaimed that many things in the legacy OS were gone. I don't know why people were so surprised that things like profiles or speed dial were gone.

    I love my Q10!

Why does everyone keep saying speed dials are gone? Go into your dial pad and long press a letter. It will ask you if you'd like to assign a speed dial. Click yes and select the contact. Your speed dial is now set. The difference is that you have to be in your dial pad to use the speed dial. You can no longer speed dial from the home screen. It does take an extra step to speed dial but is still quicker than scrolling through contacts. I prefer "Instant Action" though. Just start typing the name from the home screen and it works like previous "Universal Search"m

I agree. The people posting about having speed dial issues need to be more specific and say that there is no speed dial from the home screen, not just "no speed dial". Very misleading and just plain untrue.

The thing that comes to mind is... who calls people on the phone anymore? Hehe but yeah I'm sure we'll get speed dial back one day. The real..i mean..old way
