I'm with Rogers and my area just received an LTE upgrade but it is not LTE Max. Should my Q10, that's LTE Max capable, be able to connect to this LTE network? I ask because my hubby's Z10 connects and shows the LTE in the top right corner but my Q10 just keeps giving me 4G. Thanks for any response.

No yours will not, it will either get 4G or LTE Max. This is true if you have SQN100-3, if you have SQN100-1, then it will get LTE the same as Z10, but will not get LTE Max.

Make sure you are in a good area within a km or so of a tower to ensure that your lack of LTE is not just signal related. When I got my Q10 on launch day, I wasn't getting LTE, called support and they said try it outside. When I went outside I got LTE.

His z10 connects to the lte 2100mhz band! You need version 1 (q10) to support lte in your local calling area!

I'm with rogers wireless myself and a lot of people aren't aware their are two variants of the Q10 in Canada. You can always exchange for the version 1.

You can exchange if you are within 15 day/30 min buyers remorse period

It is my understanding that Rogers eventually will move everything to the 2600 band. Not positive on this though.

...plus I will be howling if they do Max here. I'm assuming the market here is large enough that they will.

2100 is LTE Max as well. Manitoba has LTE Max on 2100MHz using 20x2 MHz bands. I have a SQN100-1, had to change from the -3 to get LTE in Manitoba.

That's a bummer. Hopefully I don't have to swap out my -3. Rogers won't do it.

About 3 days before they launched LTE in Manitoba

The UK version of the Q10 should work with LTE 4G as it's quad band LTE 3, 7,8,20 (band 3 is 1800Mhz LTE band LTE use) see here for the UK specs. Other non-UK versions will work on 3G but not on 4G.
As others have already said though, you cannot expect much more from LTE as you are using a non-standard handset which LTE currently don't sell or offer support for.
