Did you use the latest BBM before on your old BB? Then they are all backed up on your BlackBerry ID.

OK then go to settings, BlackBerry Protect and enter your BlackBerry ID. Look for the last backup and restore. (take a bit for the backups to show up, they are online)

same thing happened to me in my BB 9900. I hate bbm 7.

I lost over 500 contacts from january-february this year.... that's why I went back to bbm 6 with the "manual backups"

Check on your microSD card for a file called bbm something. It maybe listed there. Also check in your Documents or My Documents folder ... then into BlackBerry then into Backups ... hopefully you've previously done a FULL or partial backup (that included BBM). IF its fairly recent most likely the desktop backup has your contacts there.

You sure you didn't block them by chance? (I'm not aware of a way to single-handedly block ALL contacts in 1 fell swoop).

Delete and re-install BBM. It should ask for your BlackBerry ID.
