Over the past year I've been experimenting with in-ear headsets as compared to other higher quality headsets, the included premium bb headset just does not cut it.
I've used:
Klipsch x4i
NOCS N400
SKULK CANDY 50/50
MONSTER DNA
SAMSUNG PREMIUM
Dre Urbeats

Sound clarity, ultra clear deep bass, and quality goes to Urbeat. And all controls work.
What other in-ear headsets are others using, I'm curious?

I use shure se315's because I appreciate uncolored, neutral, natural sound with a nice sound stage. They go over the ears so they can't be pulled out easily and create a great seal for a non custom iem. Come with plenty of tips and they can be easily recabled which is nice.

Still don't get why people by beats by dre but to each their own I guess.

Ultimate Ears by Westone. They are fairly cheap (about $50) and use the same drivers that many musicians use in their in ears.

I originally avoided buying urbeats as well because of the hype but really the sound quality is amazing! What sold me was getting them for Christmas. I'm not generally sold by hype so I always avoided buying them for the longest time! But hype aside, they really do offer hyper clear sound!

And want to add as well, the call control mic is exceptionally clear as well! Prolly from what others say on the other end of the phone I do sound the clearest using a urbeats headset!

Not saying those aren't good headphones, but they aren't neutral they tint the sound for more bass and drop of the mids and highs, but like I said to each their own.

I just prefer accurate music reproduction in my headphones. But if you love them glad you found a pair you like!

I do listen to opera as well and the mids and highs are crystal clear with high def sound quality. They use to sound the way that you described but now with last year's improved version it's balanced now! Its not widely advertised but ever since lady Gaga came out with heartbeats, the sound seemed like it's improved!
