i'm currently at 95% downloaded from mega, can't wait to load it!

Jaydee, we should be able to use APK's with this, I have a few I"m going to test out once I have it running and i'll reply back!


Edit: finally finished the download, but when I went to unzip it, it errored out, so i'm re downloading at a glacial speed, took 4 hours this morning from my work computer!

Terrible!!! I downloaded official 10.2.0.424 at my Q10.
And the problems begun. I cant use Contacts normally!
When I finish any call I need to wait around 20 seconds to unfreeze Contacts.
I cant delete or edit contacts.
Any suggestions how to resolve this????

The leak OS is quite nice many enhancements that should have been incorporated to start and the ability to load. Apk's from file manager is awesome

Have you been able to run APKs that you could not run through sideloading? Or is the APK install just a more convenient way of doing the same thing (and therefore subject to the same limitations)?

Any screen but not when your in an app. Like while I'm in the CB app it doesn't work.

Some of this may depend on which Android runtime you were on, remember. Older (pre-10.2) is Gingerbread, and 10.2 brings us Jelly Bean, though even there you may need an unlocked runtime to run many apps.

The runtime in this 10.2.1.1055 version apparently runs APKs without conversion, and isn't locked either. Doesn't guarantee full compatibility, but it should be better.

I didn't know that, thanks for the tip. I liked the Q10 hardware but had to abandon it because of the lack of apps. Maybe now I'll give it another try.

I installed this earlier today. Went smoothly. Worked properly. Sideloaded audible, instagram, Vine and Flipboard - all working. So far the update shows no downside except MAYBE Android apps load a little slower than before - and that could be simply because the phone is busy syncing all my photos, contacts, music, etc. As they are fond of saying over at Apple these days - an evolution not a revolution. But moving in the right direction with some really slick upgrades. One that I would still like to see is a weather and temp icon on the home screen. Stuff like wallpaperHD is an option but without headless option I'd say this is a non starter.

I've installed the leak and had problems with wifi. Did a hard reset and a security wipe. Run the setup again and everything seems to work fine except BBM where my contact pics don't update. Also the blackberry world app store shows BBM not compatible with this version. ( did anyone notice this??)
